Aqara Motion Sensor P1
The Aqara Motion Sensor P1 is the updated version of Aqara’s most popular motion sensor, and now boasts improvements in battery life, configurability, compatibility, and wireless connections.
And just like its little brother, the Aqara Motion Sensor P1 remains a highly useful smart home accessory to automate your lights and other devices.
The Aqara Motion Sensor P1 now allows you to configure two parameters in the Aqara Home app – timeout adjustments, and sensitivity adjustments.
Timeout can now be configured to be between 1 second to 200 seconds. This refers to the time the motion sensor shuts itself off after detecting motion.
Sensitivity can now be adjusted between Low, Medium, and High – this refers to the distance the sensor will be triggered from, which can help to reduce false positives. At the high sensitivity configuration, the motion sensor detects motion as far away as 7 metres (with a 150 degree angle. To only trigger the motion sensor for nearby movements, set the configuration to low – and it’ll only detect motion 2 metres away (170 degree angle).
Built to be Invisible
The Aqara Motion Sensor is truly tiny, measuring only 3.5 x 3.5 x 4cm. It’s built with a 360 degree fully rotatable stand with an adhesive pad, so you can stick it anywhere – and point it where you want. Powered with two CR2450 batteries that gives it up to five full years of battery life, this motion sensor requires no wires or concealing.
Smart Home Notifications
The Aqara Motion Sensor can also be set up to send you notifications upon detection of motion, which can be useful to increase your home security, or to keep an eye on your pets!
Smart Home Automations
Motion sensors are a key accessory to any smart home, especially in areas of high traffic such as corridors. Easily set up automations to turn on lights and other devices when motion is detected in an area – and turn them off when it’s not.
Long corridors and stairways are traditionally built with two-way switches, which can be easily replaced with smart switches and motion sensors to turn the lights on automatically.

The Aqara Motion Sensor P1 is compatible with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, IFTTT, and the Aqara App. Highly compatible, Motion Sensor can even connect with smart devices from other brands to create your ideal smart home lifestyle.
Matter support will be available via an over-the-air update of Aqara Hubs after the official release of Matter specifications.
